My Disney Experience App

Disney has made an app called "My Disney Experience" that makes a lot of things so much easier for your next Disney vacation! Especially since there is so much that you can do while in Disney.  It is convenient to have everything in one place from seeing your upcoming plans, making plans like dinner and resort reservations, checking all the wait times for the park you are visiting, making an itinerary in Genie, adding Genie +, purchasing photo pass, ordering food, purchasing tickets, and more.

I should tell you first of all to make sure that you have the latest and most current app for Disney because otherwise the features might not work as well and might not include the new Genie feature. As of today's date this is what the most current Disney app looks like...

The top choice next to the open button with the Disney 50th logo.

After you download the app the first screen you will come to will look like this...

This is where you can open up the Genie portion of the app and answer questions so that Genie can give you suggestions for your trip.  If you scroll down on this page you can also check park showtimes, share your location in the park to find food, fun, and magic close to you, buy memory maker, and see whatever new things that Disney has added to current events etc.

On the bottom of your app screen you will notice some icons like a home button, a location button, a + sign, and a search button, you will also see 3 bars. Let me breakdown each one of those for you...
The home button is of course where you started from, the little locations button next to that will open up maps to the parks and show current wait times, the + button is where you can check dining availability and make reservations for dining, order food, shop in store, shop memory maker, buy tickets and passes, make park reservations or check park availability, and view your Genie Day tip board. The + button will bring you to this menu...

This is the screen that I find myself using most often!

The search button at the bottom of the app will help you search popular things like tip boards and reservations and can also show you where the closest restrooms are.
Those 3 bars to the bottom right of the app will lead you to a page where you can look at a lot of things like: your tip board, your Genie day, future plans, virtual queues, mobile food orders, etc. I go to this page after I have added something to my plans so that I can make sure they are showing up (if for some reason they do not you can always call Disney to make sure they went through). If you scroll to the bottom of this page it will also give you some additional options such as: your profile, health care services, accessibility, property rules, cast compliments, link to your account, and a help button. You can also sign out of your account on this screen.

So, as you can see...having the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device will truly open up some very helpful things for you on your Disney vacation and for your Disney vacation planning. You can also sign into
My Disney Experience through a search engine on the internet. I hope that this tutorial has helped you. Have a magical day!!!
